I didn't really have to do any collaging for this assignment--the images in "before" are the only two photos I used. I followed along with the tutvid article and adjusted the steps to better suit my Na'vi template, actor Natalie Portman. I wanted to make her look more like an actual na'vi than what the article ended with, so I used the settings in liquify to make the nose look a little more alien, flatter and broader, with a tip similar to a cat's nose. I also used liquify to lengthen and shape the ears; I tried to give the ears their canonical reddish-purple color, but I couldn't figure out how to make it look natural.
I used a redwood forest photo for the background because the na'vi dwell in giant, ancient forests.
